I was appointed leader for a project consisting of 6 other members. I admit, I took a more relaxed position this time because I was occupied with work and dog welfare. The others organised themselves and got work done. I didn't do any coding or implementation, but I did my fair share by attending meetings, participating in discussions and writing documentation.
Actually, I attended leader meetings alone on even weeks while the rest didn't attend or even go to school. I didn't announce that "hey I'm attending leader meeting" because the meetings were not fruitful and I had nothing to update.
For peer review, they may have rated me -1 for below expectation. They may have a bad impression of me now. I could have clarified things, but I didn't.
