Round and round we go.
I woke up at 5.45 to drive my mom to work and enjoyed the morning dawn's breeze. After talking to my dad about his China colleague who wanted to buy a DVD player and MP3, I was off to sch. I waited for the bus to Bedok to Eunos instead to avoid the crowd and I ended up missing two double-decker buses to Eunos..
With only my loyal Creative jacket to withstand the reduced temperatures from rain and air-con, I stayed in the lab to start on Visual Basic (VB) assignment and made much progress amidst all the sneezing. 2 (Ameen & Joshua) out of my other 5 group members are doing the admin functions for the FYP website and since they're in my VB group, I'm concentrating on VB as I'm done with my product display anyway.
After noon, I was relieved to reach home with supplies of tissue paper and a warmer environment and spent the rest of the day working on VB. The bad news came near evening after I happily showed Ameen what I had done for VB. We in Diploma in Business in IT (DBIT) can take VB as an elective module in year 3 while those in Diploma in IT (DIT) take as a year 1 module. I realised.. I was doing the DIT year 1 assignment all along! And I was already about 60% done.. I had made the grave mistake as we have always referred to the DIT year 1 folder for module documents and didn't take note that the only time we'd refer back to our DBIT year 3 elective folder.. would be this time.
After all the mental swearing and cursing I read through the DBIT year 3 elective one, it's actually just as difficult. Was pretty much discouraged and having a mental block already so I spent the rest of the night from 7.30pm+ to 12.30pm+ trying to get the basic display out, something which I think should have taken less than an hour with my standard and the amount of time I had already spent doing the DIT year 1 one.
