I got *A LOT* of FyP work done today.
1) Sorted through 1214 of the client's product photos and put them into appropriate categories.
2) In the process came up with new categories (weavings, carvings and showcases) and removed categories without products (brass and pottery).
3) Updated index, include pages and template.
4) Sorted through 460 categorised pictures to delete multiple occurrences
5) Used Adobe Bridge to batch rename 348 categorised unique pictures.
6) Used Adobe Photoshop macro to resize and save them.
7) Created and uploaded other product pages.
8) Created MySQL coding and updated database.
9) Uploaded all the pictures.
10) All product pages up and working, limited to 12 product per page.
11) Figured out page generator. Meaning for the surfaces category where there are 62 products, it will display 12 on the first page and have pages 1-6 links at the bottom. Page 2 will lead to products #13 to 23 and so on.
12) Same algorithm can be used to auto generate the category pages. Meaning tables.jsp, surfaces.jsp, chairs.jsp all can be generated by a single products.jsp depending on link clicked.
Felt so good when I sms-ed the client telling him the product pages are up and he can take a look. I'm doing almost all the work.. at least until the other two more capable ones are done with the administration pages.
