Behind every great man are greater friends, keep walking.
I find this advertisement inspirational and unique. I can't explain it here, you have to watch it yourself to understand. http://www.keepwalking.asia
On the MRT after City Hall there was this traditional auntie and her rebellious 4-7 years old son. There were seats for both of them but he refused to sit and it was rather dangeous for him to stand around without holding on to or leaning against anything.
She told him about the MRT traffic lights (are there?) to get him to sit. After which he became rowdy again and she threatened to cancel their trip to Expo with his aunt. Through the phone, she said spiteful things like "aunt, we'll leave after he falls asleep at home, okay?". After the call he wanted to stand around again and she held on to his shirt, making him scream and whine. He calmed down only when I alighted, can't remember what she did.
In the first place why was he so rebellious and rowdy? From my point of view at that moment, his mom's hoarse voice and fierce tone had made him irritated, she did not explain to him why she wanted him to sit down, all she did was shout "sit here! sit here!". He also realised that threatens (like cancelling the trip) usually don't happen and thus don't fall for them anymore.
There are a lot of other reasons, probably the same reasons why my nephew is rather rebellious against his parents (my 2nd sis and bro-in-law). Good examples of what shouldn't happen when raising children.
