Oasis Haven
an oasis.. a haven

Stunned in front of the computer before deciding on what to write..

So I was driving my mom home from work and saw 4 ns vehicles travelling at about 40-50km/hr on the expressway in a row. I was thinking that I'd be (stunned here again thinking of how to phrase it) considered lucky to get something like this when it's my turn.

This led me to think about camps. Camps were something I enjoyed very much in secondary school, let's see my camp experience from joining as a regular Peer Leader in Sec 2 to becoming Head in Sec 4:-
Sec 1 - Participant in Sec 1 Orientation Camp
Sec 2 - Participant in Peer Leaders Training Camp (PLTC), Organising Commitee (OC) for Sec 1 Orientation Camp
Sec 3 - Participant in Lasallian Leadership Training Camp (LLTC), Participant in National Lasallian Leadership Camp (NLLC), OC for Sec 1 Orientation, OC for PLTC
Sec 4- Overseer in PLTC, Overseer in Sec 1 Orientation Camp, Facilitator in LLTC

The feeling of mental and physical exhaustion gave the sense of achievement, something which I have not felt for some time. After all, I feel that I was good as an OC.

It was awesome working with fellow peer leaders to make things successful. Camps were the only time where attendance was highest. As much as they did not pay attention or contribute during regular meetings, their attitude during camps were much different. I can't describe how they were (am at a loss for words), you would have had to be there to understand. There was brotherhood during cheers and songs, although there was competition during games.

Not forgetting the prefects, CCA leaders and counsellors who were a part of it too, thank you all for the experience I have had, whether as a participant or OC.
