I actually learnt something from my dad today. He was talking about how he saw that the gloves of a staff from China cleaning the restaurant had broken and he went to buy a pair for her. It's just a few dollars after all.

This could have made her day as she's new in Singapore and might not know where to buy the gloves yet. She may also be doing other odd jobs to make more money and simply not have enough time to go buy a new pair.
