Reasons why my dad chose Dong Fong:-
- Total seating capacity of 8, including driver
- Back row of seats can be folded down to make space
- Supposedly fuel-saving
- Company was offering 15K for the old one
- New vehicle which next to no people have

Reasons why I 'chose' Dong Fong:-
- None

I'm having a mild migraine over this issue. Changing the vehicle so that I have something to drive was just an excuse for him to achieve his above reasons.

I wanted a small auto gear vehicle which can fit all four of us when we go out and for cruising to school. More specifically, I wanted a Perodua Kenari or Kelisa. There was a $5K discount for the Perodua when we were painting the childcare centre which my mom works at, bringing down the price to about $34K. And why did he reject it? Cuz they only offered $13.5K for his previous Kia instead of $15K which Dong Fong offered.

He asked me whether I wanted the Dong Fong. I told him he knew well enough what I wanted. In the end which part of the decision to purchase this Dong Fong really considered me inside?

I know that he expects me to drive to school. How am I supposed to do so if it is so freaking difficult to drive it? Yes, I fear slopes, cuz there cannot be any mistake in controlling the clutch. If there is, it will either roll backwards or stall. Yes, I hate driving it, cuz moving off from a stationary position is so freaking slow. With the P-plate, practically everyone behind me overtakes me.

I know that if I drive to school, he expects me to work on weekends to pay for the fuel. In the first place, I'm not gonna drive to school. I know that he expects me to wash it every weekend. It's such a chore cuz it's not something which I wanted to begin with.

So in two months we can sell it for another one. How? God knows how much it's value has dropped. Will any company even take it? Even if we succeed, the monthly installment will only increase further.

I thought of holding it until I finished NS and found a job in three to four years, so that at that time I can make and pay for the decision. God knows how much it's value would have dropped by then.

I would like to re-emphasise this. Changing the vehicle so that I have something to drive was just an excuse for him to achieve his above reasons.
